was so hard pressed that he decided that he and his sister wouls swim for the opposite shore. Oine got his sister Anny on his back and swam over to the island. Anny landed on the island off Oine's back first. The island was afterwards called Anny-oine. There is supposed to be a treasure hidden on the island and also in the townland. The treasure contains gold and silver. Nothing has been discovered yet, though many attempts have been made to unearth it.
