    The cure for the mumps is to lead the person by Assies winkers through a stable door or even through the door of a pig stye and say "mumps mumps go to the swine".
    A man the name of Gordon of Drumlish has a cure for erysipelas. For this cure he used fresh butter without salt and said something to himself. No one but the person who has the cure can know this. The man is now dead an the gave the cure to Mrs Hankness Castleblayney.
    The cure for a stye is to get a person, it must be a boy, to point nine thorns of a gooseberry bush nine times at the stye.
    The cure for a boil is to boil a meadow bean and drink the water.
    There are many cures for a wart. One is to rub a lump of washing soda nine times on the wart.
