- There are two Fairy Forts near my grandmother's home in Dunmaurice, Ballybeg.
The names of the forts are Dunmaurice fort and McBirney's.
The former is called that name because it is in the townland of Dunmaurice. The other fort is called McBirney's fort because people named McBirney's lived there. They are all circular in shape. - You are not logged in, but you are welcome to contribute a transcription anonymously.
