    number of straw-men. There was a captain at the head of them. On entering the captain and his companion asked for the bride and groom and danced with them. Other parties came during the night, and acted in the same way. IN the morning the man brought home his wife, and this was called the dragging home. There were refreshments usually in the in the groom's house. This is how Mr T. Owens told me about marriage customs. He also told me the ring used was the key of the chapel door.
