    farmer brought some oats to Drimoleague to sell it and when he was going home his horse left the road near a bridge and went along an old passage which led along by the river. Here the car overturned and that night the man was found dead under the car. All the people believe that it was the fairies punished him for working his horses in the lios.
    There is an open fort in the townland of Knocklane about two miles west of Drimoleague. People have often tried to go in to it to see what ti contains but it is very dark and people have tried taking in a light. The light remains lighting until they go in a certain distance and then a
