    The money they get is sometimes divided equally among them, but it is more often spent on some sort of amusement, which is usually a wren-ball. The night of the wren-ball is usually a great night of amusement and all the wren-boys are always present.
    New Year's Night. This is also a great night of feasting as the old people believed that if they did not eat enough on that night they would not have enough to eat for the year. Another belief was that whatever way the wind was blowing from twelve to one o'clock on that night that it would not change from that direction
