    I
In a verdant field attired with polished tunes acquired
Her music to inspire it was just afternoon
Where crowds of gentle graces resort those lonesome places
    Which thought, my heart embraces.
    For my sweet Cailín Fionn.
    II
    Her mild and comely features
    Composed and framed by nature
    Who challenged all this nation
    Her equals to show.
    Her beauty so surpriseth
    That satirize the wisest
    And the Goodnesses admiring
    My sweet Cailín Fionn
    III
No black no brown will please me
Her sorrel will not tease me
The're no colours there to please me
But the fair one thats true
With her curling locks so amazing
    Made thousands stand out gazing
And why shouldn't I be praising
    My Sweet Cailín Fionn.
