- Close by in Maclisheen is a hole or gravel pit and it known as Poll na Spride. Fairies are seen there occasionally.

Is Cnoc Sceach an baile bréan salach gan teas na luidhe [?] na gréine air. - Close by this school is a well. It is at the end of a lake known as goba a loca. Formerly there was a monastery here which was famous for learning in olden times.
