  1. Local Drownings
    In October 1910 Wm McGrath and his son were drowned bringing turf from Buse bog to Garrykennedy.
    On the 9th February 1905 John Cleary, Ml Freeman and John Cleary were drowned bringing cattle from Island-more to Skihana.
    In 1920 Joe O'Meara, Kevinstown, was drowned bringing cattle from Islandmore to Kevinstown.
    Bridget Peters and Mary McGrath, Lahorna, were drowned in Lahorna Lake in the winter.
    Jack Bruder, Knocknacartan, was drowned in Luska in 1897.
    Jas. Kennedy, Clare, drowned himself in Rockvalley Lake in 1930.
    In 1835 John Casey, Lisquillikeen, was drowned while swimming in Boulawee Lake.
    Lucy, Fanny and John Cambie, Kilgowan, were drowned when returning from a party in Luska on the 10th October 1885.
