- A Local HappeningOnce upon a time a man went out for his 'top' hat on Kilodiernan Lake.
He got into his boat and started rowing. The day was very calm as he was starting out, but it got terribly windy when he was out on the middle of the lake.
The oars broke with the strength of the wind, and the poor man was in an awful plight.
After a while the boat sank.
The poor man fell out and found his watery grave in that Lake of Kilodiernan.Supplied by James Kennedy- Informant
