- About 300 years ago, a great mower named Tim Carrol, lived in the village of Coolbawn.
Mowing machines were not heard of at this time. It happened one year that the hay crop was so heavy, that the farmers around the district were not able to mow their hay.
Tim took compassion on them. He said he would mow all their hay in two days if they gave him twenty pounds, which they could collect among themselves.
The people were all satisfied, and he mowed all their hay in the appointed time.Peggy Starr.- Informant
