  1. In a fort near our school in Corville, a white lady is supposed to be seen walking up and down at midnight.
    It is said , in the time of Cromwell, this lady used to be minding gold which was hidden there. One day some of Cromwell's soldiers saw her, they approached her, and asked her what she was doing, she refused to tell, and the story goes, they cut off her head. She is supposed to be seen ther ever since.
