People used to go around with a figure dressed up and it was usually the churn dash. They used to go around from house to house and collect money.
St. Patrick's Day:-
People wear a shamrock and children wear St. Patrick's crosses and harps
Ash Wednesday:-
On Ash Wednesday morning the people go to church and the priests makes the sign of the cross with ashes on the foreheads of the faithful who go up to the altar-rails and he says:- Remember man that thou art dust and into dust thou shallt return.
Good Friday.
On this day people go to the church and make the stations of the cross fifteen times in honour of the agony and death of Our Lord But you must make them from 12 O'clock to 3 O'clock.(continues on next page)- Collector
