- The fairs are generally held in towns. They are not held in towns at all times. Some buyers transact business in the country at cross-roads and at farmers' houses.
The town fair is held in a special fair-place.
When an animal is sold luck-money is given. When a bargain has been made the parties show their agreement by striking hands.
There are a lot of towns where fairs are held. Some of the towns are Longford, Granard, Edgeworthstown and Arva.
There are special fairs held for horses and pigs also. They are held every month.- Collector
