- One time an old man was walking along the road through Oylegate. He was walking all day and he was very tired. He lay down in the ditch near Oylegate for four or five hours and he fell asleep. A man came along and woke him up and the moon was shining. He asked the man passing by if that was the sun or the moon. The other man replied "I do not know I am a stranger around here. Like yourself."
- One time there was a man from Oylegate and he was digging a well. He went home to his dinner and when he came back the well had fallen in. He stuck the spade(continues on next page)
