  1. Long ago there was a man in Coolamain named Jack Crowley. He wasable to walk or jump any man in the Co Wexford. He was able to jump over a car standing on its heels. One time a Sergeant of the police out of Wexford challenged him to jump the Sow river.
Jack Crowley took a jump and landed on the other and Sergeant jumped and landed in the middle of the Sow river.
The Sow river rises in the Ballagh and flows between the Parish of Oylegate and Ballymurn and empties itself into the River Slaney near Castlebridge.
