  1. Bartel Galligan Fennor Lower, Oldcastle, Co Meath makes gates and slanes. Tommie Kelly, Caban Riagh Dungimmon Mt Nugent, Co. Cavan, is a good thatcher. The straw is first thrashed then pulled and it is thatched with a rod and thatching fork.
    Jack Tully Purcheyemone, Oldcastle, Co. Meath makes wheels. Mrs Murphy Caban Riagh, Dungimmon Mt Nugent Co. Cavan, had a spinning wheel, and she used to spin and weave.
    She is dead now, she was at this work until she was 85 years of age.
