  1. One dark night a man from Coragluin where I live was coming from his Ceilidh in Ardlow and he was passing through the "Five-acre field" in Quilca.
When he was in the very middle of it he saw something coming towards him. It was a horrid looking old woman and she was skimming over the ground like as if she was flying.
The Coragluin man ran like the wind and she kept up with him till he jumped the ditch at the road.
He looked back and he saw her moving back to the middle of the big field. Then she turned into fire and went down in the ground.
He got an awful fright and never went through the field after dark from that night.
