- One night a man who was going home late from the fair saw a queer looking little horse standing near an old fort not far from here.
He caught the horse intending to ride home as he had a long way to go.
It carried him over hill and dale never touching the ground.
As it crossed the lake and got to the far shore he shouted "Well done" and immediately found himslef lying on the ground while his fairy steed disappeared.
