  1. Schoolmasters long ago were very contrary and they knew how to use the rod on the scholars.
    The first school master that was in Kelleeter was a terror. He used to wear a long "set-to" with long tails in it and he put such spit in every slap he gave you that the tails would hit the back of his neck. I didn't trouble him often I can tell you.
