    "Where will I throw it?" to which he answered, "Throw it in there if you like," and he pointed to the centre of the fort.
    Slowly Séamus turned to the lad and said, "For years I've been waiting for you. This advice I'll give, never let greed overcome your senses." With these words, he cast the sack of gold from him and disappeared for ever. There in the centre of the fort stood a gleaming rock of gold. As the amazed on-lookers moved towards it, the lustre dimmed and there stood the fairy stone.
