    from towards Bodyke. Paddy the Basket. A pedlar, always carried a basket. Sold books such as Story of Ireland, The Bodyke Evictions, the Wild Rose of Lough Gill &c.
    Was a great walker. Did not visit Meelick later than about 58 yrs. ago, but don't know whether he died there or not. Used to put up for the night.

    Paddy Meehan from Limerick city went by the name of Toby Fleven. A peddlar in a small way. Sold books (2d or so), laces, pins & needles &c. Carried them in a two-handled box. He'd run a stick out thro
