- (continued from previous page)tree which it bent up & down for 4 or 5 mins., it then came along the fence & straight in the back door of house & out the front door, down the avenue, down straight the road, crossed into the fields at the Bog Road, continued to fort at quarry, right down to Redgate. Seen no farther. Lasted most of half an hour.
- At back of Nix's quarry on west side of railway. Very slightly raised & round, & covered with blackthorns. Mick Boland cut all the firing he could here and did not live 12 months after.
