    Brownscastle
    Brownscastle, a picturesque spot situated in a wooded valley about a mile from the village of Taghmon, was a place of considerable importance up to about forty years ago.
    There was a wollen factory and mill there owned by a family named Fortune, the last of which died a few years ago. People from all parts of the country brought wool to this factory to have it made into blankets and tweeds; and it was said that orders for blankets and tweeds came to the factory from every corner of the Globe, from England America Africa and Australia.
