   He brought the news of many ships to Wexford's gallant shore
   From the stormy bays of Wexford
   Where sunken treasure lies
   And Wexford's noble lifeboat she resoned to the cries
   All by the Captain's order's who gave a willing hand
   And won his Captain's title, the best on Irish land.

   The Tusker light 'twas shining bright
   The moon 'twas clouded o'er
   We ventured for the Keerogues near the point of Carnsore
   We leaned down on the Keerogues to try what we could do
   We picked up one survivor one of a life boat's crew
   Our lives and all equipments were unfolded from ther stock
