There was a man one time and he was going down a lane to a farmrer's house...

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
husband going up the lane. The woman laughed at him and told him that her husband was in Ballybrennan quarry, a place about twenty miles away. The man told her that he wasn't that he met himself and he couldn't've be mistaken for he was smoking his pipe and all the woman told him that it was probably his father he had seen, for he was certain sure that he went to Ballybrennan in the morning. The other man wouldn't believe her at all, But kept on telling her that he met him in the lane .
When the woman's husband came home at night she asked him was he at the quarry that day and he said he was of course .and why did she ask him didn't she know well that he left that morning going for BallyBrennan.
