The next week was a very fine one and the king said to himself that he would go for a walk unknown to the doctors. So he took his stick and his coat and set off. He walked about a mile away from the palace and then he found himself getting weaker and weaker and then he returned homewards. He was about half way home when there came a great shower of rain and the poor king could take shelter nowhere from it, with the result that he was drowned wet. He got home anyway and, he went to bed, and in a few minutes he was in an awful state with the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
