   Curious about the (some sort of tree) anyhow it is very large and part of it is broken down and running along the ground, then there is a beaten path at the lower side of it, and it is not known what put it there, for cattle or horses when rain comes never goes under it for shelter, that is another strange thing about it. It is also said that a persons hand would rot if he broke a bough off it. Nobody ever broke a bough off it only one man. Himself and an other friend of his were coming home one night and they were passing by the (some sort of tree) and this fellow stepped and looked up at it and says he '' Is this the ould (some sort of tree) that all the talk is about'', and he jumped up and he caught hold of one of the branches and he broke it off. He went home, and the next evening
