  1. The following names of fields are in the townland of Derrygrea a mile to the east of the village of Drimoleague.
    Páirc na Gainimhe.
    So called because in former times it was never tilled without being well manured with sand which is custom in this district
    Páirc na Croise.
    So called because in former time an old road crossed at the end of this field. It is not there now. It formed a cross roads with the present road near the field - Hence the field at the cross
