    only man who grew wheat in the townland that year.
    "Brathóg" If workers were very far from the house they took raw potatoes and "gríosac" with them Before they started work they put the potatoes on the ground and placed the "gríosac" on them. They then got moss and sticks and left the potatoes to bake. When they got hungry they ate the potatoes and this meal was their lunch.
    Oatmeal water:- The oatmeal was soaked in cold water over night. It was then strained and the water was given to reapers instead of tea. It was a very strong and healthy drink.
