  1. In olden times food was not so varied as it is now.
In very olden times people lived mostly on potatoes.
They used to eat four meals in the day, breakfast, dinner, tea and supper.
About a hundred years ago tea was used for the first time, and before that porridge was used by nearly everybody.
The delph was much the same as what is used now, but it was wooden saucepans (noggins) that were used.
