- We have a churn at home.
It is two feet at the top, and one three-quarters feet at the bottom.
The sides are round.
It is nine years old.
The various parts are:- The churn, handle, screws, clappers, butter-dish and trancher.
There is no mark on it.
In Winter we churn once a week and in Summer twice a week
When people come in they help at the churning.
The reason they help is because if they don't they are supposed to bring the butter with them.
We do the churning in a half-an-hour in Winter, and a quarter in Summer.
The churning is done by hand.
The way we know when the butter is made is when it is in little grains.
Water is poured in when the butter is in grains to gather it.(continues on next page)- Collector
