  1. There was a man there long ago and he sent down to the graveyard that was there for good earth that was in the graves and made a kitchen garden of it. One night after this and he coming home it was late and he saw a dog running behind; when he looked again it was a horse. Then he got dread and when he looked again it was a corpse he saw. The dead man caught his hand with cold fingers and kept its grip until the man went home. He soon got "off the head" and had to be carried to the asylum.
