How they used make wooden ploughs and harrows.
Wooden ploughs were made long ago by carpenters .The right handle was morticed into the beam and the left one was morticed into the cross.The cross was a piece of timber going from beam to the sole to keep it firm.The board was made slanted out of three pieces of timber.A tinker used make the sock out of metal he had to get two shillings for making it.
A blacksmith used make the coulter out of iron. Two plates of iron had to be put on to the beam to hold the ruck.They fastened the iron to the timber with nails.
