A Story
One night James Cooleen in Gortaveha was coming home from John Brodericks with a horse and carr and a load of stuff. he was coming beyond the but of the Thohar when he saw a big Glare coming at Keanes cross.He pulled in and waited to let it pass.The Glare came down and turned into the "baill"and quenched off.
he went home and told the story .But it was not long after that his father died.Some people say there was a little ditch around it but the people used knock it till they had all of it knocked.
