  1. In 1872 Father John Coughlin was Parish Priest of Kilmovee. He was later made Arch Deacon.
    Father Gallagher was the curate at that time. The landlords were in the country then. Stanly O'Grady was the land lord who was ruling in Father Coughlins time. He had an assistant whose name was Rimme Costello.
    Father Coughlin built Kilmovee church. Before it was built there was a dispute as to where it would be built. It was between Father Coughlin and Costello.
    Father Coughlin wanted it to be built where it is presently and Costello wanted it to be built in Philip Duffy's land which is near Ballaghedreen
