- There was an old miller in a village called Coilltrasna one time. He used to grind corn to make oatmeal for the neighbouring people. It was a land lord from County Galway that owned the townland. At that time the people of the townland got vert poor and were unable to pay the rent.
The people went to the landlord, and asked him to give them time until Spring to pay the rent, as they were not able to pay. He answered their letter and told them that he would be down on such a day to turn them out of their homes. On hearing this the people got very excited, and they were going from one to another to see what they would do about it. The old miller(continues on next page)- Collector
