  1. Long ago there lived an old King in a place called Stonepark. He kept a Steward called Jobe, and also a stock manager. The King was very fond of herds of cattle, sheep and horses, and he used to tell his manager to buy the very best he could get at the markets, no matter what they would cost. There was a neighbouring farmer that had better herds of stock than this King. The King got jealous of this. He called Jobe to his palace one day to see what they would do about this. They made up their minds to put the manager to death by drowning him in a lake called "Tobhar a' Dailtín. This lake was supposed to have no bottom in it.
