  1. If a child cries out at night the fairies will bring it.
    If you go out and leave a small child in the house or in the cradle you should put the tongs over the cradle or the fairies will bring the child.
    If you take the child out of the cradle at night you should put a stool in the cradle the way the fairies could not sleep in it.
    When making a churn nothing should be taken out of the house.
    If anyone comes into the house while you are making a churn they should take a while of it or if they don't they will have the butter out with them.
