  1. First, I am the Lord, thy God. Thou shall not have any other God but me.
    Second, thou shall not take the name of God in vain.
    Nor curse in any way.
    Third, remember to sanctify the Holy Sabbath Day,
    Work not without necessity.
    Hear holy Mass and pray.
    Fourth, thy parents honour, serve and and love
    And cheerfully obey.
    Servants must obedient prove, and without sin they may.
    Fifth, thou shall not kill
    Nor revenge take, nor hate thy enemy.
    Forgive and love for Jesus sake, all that have injured thee.
    Sixth thouh shall not commit adultry
    In thought word, deed or look Beware of evil company and read not dangerous books,
    Seventh, though shall not steal nor cheat, nor waste in any way
