  1. We set potatoes every year sometimes in drills and other times in ridges. It is mostly an iron plough is used nowadays. When we plant them in ridges we use a pounder to pound them when they are down in the hole. But when we set them in drills we use an iron plough to cover them. There are many different kinds of potatoes such as Dromana Rocks, Kerrs-Pinks, Arran-Banners, British and Irish Queens and many other kinds.
