Sí an chainnt a bhi ag gabhail istoigh sa scriog: "Sniomhaigidh, sníomhaigidh, cárdáiligidh, cardáiligidh ; is beag shilfeas tón[?] gan fóghnamh gur 'Curly Brow' atá orm-sa. Bhí go maith agus ni rabh go h-olc. An lá a gheall an bhean duithe go dtiocfadh sí, isteach leíthe ar an doras agus snáth léíthe.
    "Seo anois'" arsa sise, "innis domhsa cá n-ainm atá ormsa. Dubhaiart an bhean léithe gur "Curly Bow[?] " a bhí uirthí. Dfhág sí aice an snáth, d'imigh amach ar a' doras agus ní fhaca sí an darna n-amharc uirthe ní ba mhó.
