  1. The making of daisy chains affords great amusement to children.
They will often spend hours at a time in the nice warm summer days in the fields plucking daisies and making daisy chains. Small holes are pierced in the stems, and one stem is threaded through another.
Children often make daisies into necklaces, bands, and bangles, at other times they just make daisy chains yards long. They adorn them selves with the daisy chains and pretend they are queens or fairies.
