  1. Landlords,
    Sir Harry Stewart, Bart is the local landlord. His ancestors were also landlords. They came to Ireland at the time of the Plantation of Ulster in 1609.
    They got their position for deeds done to the state or English Government. The land was divided up into baronies. The Government gave these tracts of land to landlords. These large portions of lands were divided up into smaller positions called farms. The farmers were let to tenants who had to pay a yearly sum of money to the landlord.
