They were not long working when they heard the noise of chains and a shout and looking round the farmer saw his horse going up a nearby hill with a little man on his back as a rider and all of a sudden both disappeared and never were heard of since.

   There is a quarry in Craigmagowan and one day a man came to work at this place. He was not long working until a little woman appeared to him and told him to quarry no more there.
   She then disappeared and the man went home and no one tried to work there since.
