  1. A cure for warts is to put your hands into a hole in a rock where there is water then bring them out and let the water dry on them.

    To stop your nose from bleeding tie a string round your wee fingers.

    Sometimes when you are walking you take a pain in your right side the cure for that is to kiss your right knee three times.

    If your get a burn the cure to keep it from blistering is to put a cobweb over it.

    If you get a bump the cure is to put something cold to it.

  2. The "evil" (a running sore) could be healed by a rub from a seventh son. The rubbing had to be done at whatever hour of the day or night the seventh son was born.
    "Heart fever" a kind of palpitation was cured by "measuring". The person who had it was stretched out flat on the grass and measured by the person who had the cure.
