    a candle and hold the egg up to the light and look through the egg and if the egg is clear when you look through it there is no bird in it but if the egg is dark there is a bird in it.
    The hen must sit on the eggs for three weeks then the young birds come out. You can put a mark on the egg with blue or a purple pencil, you can put an x on the side of the egg too.
