  1. Weeds and herbs growing on tilled land among the crops are very harmful and as they prevent air and sunshine from the crops. The weeds impoverish the land to a great extent, as they draw the manure to them, and therby deprive the farmers crops. These weeds spread rapidly on dry and good ground. The following weeds flourish and plant quickly.
