    If you have a sty in you eye give it nine prods of a gooseberry thorn one after another and it will be cured

    if you have a toothache, put pepper and a bit of cotton wool into it.

    People who get burns rub bread-soda on it that it will not rise.

    People who get sore throats dry salt, and put it in a stocking, and put it around their neck

    House leek and goose grease are cures for corns
    Sore mouth
    A person who never saw their father has a cure for a sore mouth
    Sore eyes
    House leek is a great cure for sore eyes, it usually grows on a thatched house
    Colds
    People who have colds boil milk and put garlic through it, and drinks it
