  1. Mr. MacDermot who lived in Ramore had property in Clontuskert adn some in Killoran in the land of Bettaifield. He lived in Ramore for many years.
    He was looked upon as a very bad landlord because he was very strict on the people paying the rent and if people tried to repair the land by drainage or such-lie he would increase the rent on them. The land was handed from father to son as far back as the people can remember. The land was all divided on the people who lived in the district.
    The rent was collected in money and the people used to have to draw home enough turf to supply him for the year.
